Mourne Golf Club is part of the golfing campus in Newcastle and members play their golf on the Championship Links and Annesley Links at Royal County Down Golf Club.
The Championship Links at Royal County Down needs little introduction and has been rated as the Number One Golf Course in the World in recent years by Golf Digest magazine. The Annesley Links is also a wonderful test of golf and is also played through the stunning duneland adjacent to Murlough Beach and Nature Reserve.

The Championship Links is located in a naturally beautiful links setting along Murlough Nature Reserve and the beach, with the majestic Mourne Mountains serving as the backdrop at every turn. A venue for numerous professional and amateur events plus team events over the years, including the 2024 Amgen Irish Open on the DP World Tour, 2015 Irish Open and 2007 Walker Cup.
Annesley Links (Royal County Down)
The Annesley Links may be somewhat overshadowed by its more illustrious neighbour, but don’t let that deter you. The Annesley Links is carved out of the same magical duneland as the Championship Links with holes from both courses running alongside each other in places.
